This is Ultima's tapered version of their high performance Powerflex Shock Leader. This revolutionary tapered shock leader reduces the size of your leader knot allowing it to pass through the guides of your rod more smoothly and ultimately increasing casting distance. A smaller leader knot also minimises the chances of any weed or debris that might attach to the knot while retrieving a fish, there is nothing more frustrating than reeling in a good sized fish and having to stop and clean your leader knot before it can pass through your top guide. Each spool of powerflex tapered shock leaders contains 5 separate leaders and ranges in braking stains from 15 to 50lb, 15 to 60lb and 18 to 70lb.

Be sure to use a correctly tied Shock Leader Knot when joining your shockleader to your main line. No matter how good our lines are, if there is an incorrect or badly tied knot, this can lose you fish, as well as be extremely dangerous. Remember to practice knots until you can tie them perfectly every time.
